Currently (2011), Official Baldwin Piano Artist John Colianni (or "Johnny Chops") is featured with the Les Paul Trio, appearing Monday nights at The Iridium in NYC, carrying on Les Paul‘s long-time gig since joining Les's trio in 2003.
Each week, guest artists like Stanley Jordan, Mike Stern, Jose Feliciano, Larry Coryell, Steve Miller, Eric Johnson, Zakk Wylde, Duke Robillard, Jimmy Buffet, Todd Rundgren, Jane Monheit, Bernie Williams (the ex-Yankee), and Larry Carlton, among others, appear in tribute to Les with the Trio.
John also appears with his own group, The John Colianni Quintet, around New York (at clubs like Smalls, Feinstein’s At The Regency, The Kitano and The Knickerbocker), and on the road, including overseas. John can also be heard on the 2009 film soundtrack of Revolutionary Road, (w L. DiCaprio, Kate Winslet. …) He is seen AND heard on “Chasing Sound” and “Live In New York”, PBS films documenting the career and gigs of Les Paul.

The John Colianni Quintet's current CD release, "OnTarget“, (July, 2011) is produced and distributed by Patuxent Records (Rockville, Md.), and is JC's third appearance for this label.
Also newly released: “Montgomery” (Patuxent Records), which features John with the trio of guitarist Larry Coryell & James Cammack, bass and from 2009, “Johnny Chops” (Patuxent Records) the first album by the John Colianni Quintet (featuring the songs “Fur Elise” and “Smells Like Teen Spirit”).
